Pros

  • Hostaway is one of the first products that offers a complete solution that just about hits every mark that I have been looking for while supporting/empowering my company growth.
  • What I liked most about Hostaway was the structured and insightful onboarding process, especially the personalized support provided by Fatih.
  • I like that all my vacation rental platforms are connected into one hub and that you can create your own booking engine.
  • Solid platform, lots of customisations available to use, and supports multi currency on calendar which is key for me as have listings in different countries.

Cons

  • What I like least about Hostaway is the occasional technical glitches, such as login issues and error messages like “Failed to Fetch,” which can disrupt workflow.
  • Hostaway’s integration (or lack thereof) with Stripe is a big pain point for my team and I. Financial information doesn’t flow through correctly for platforms like VRBO and Hopper where Stripe is used for payment processing, and this creates a lot of manual adjustments on our end.
  • The code to display booking calendars on external websites did not work correctly, so we had to use a work around.
  • Some functions are not supported by the app, so you need to go on the browser interface for the dashboard. When I trying to connect on my phone I’m being redirected to the app.
